Michael Chekov, Stella Adler, Meisner and Stella Adler Techniques are merged with traditional Afro-Native American art forms to address the special needs of the actor. Emphasis on voice production, character and atmosphere, the classics and script analysis as they relate to history and culture, inspire the professional actor to build powerful tools for inspired work.

THE ART OF BEING (Acting Technique Workshop)

INSTRUCTOR: ERIK KILPATRICK

This course is designed to help the actor develop his own technique through varioujs exercises. Students who have a higher level of training will benefit from this course. Through the method of the "Art of Being", the Actor will Discover self as the main source of technique.

The Field
Applications for the Spring Emerging Artist Residency are now online! Residents will rehearse for three months at The FAR Space, participate in bi-weekly residency sessions, and do a final performance showcase at Dance Theater Workshop.

New for the spring cycle, the application is open to Field Members only!!! The application is quite simple to complete, and will be entered into a lottery drawing – from which up to 10 Field Members will be selected for this mega-opportunity.

We encourage you to put yourself in the running for creative support for the Apr/May/Jun creative season. Plus, former Field Staffer James Scruggs will be facilitating!

Applications are due March 3rd and more information is available at www.thefield.org.
